Vital Therme Bad Wildbad
- The “Vital Therme” consists of a large indoor pool and a large outdoor thermal water pool. Swimming is therefore possible here without any problem (pool/swimming pool available both indoors and outdoors).
- Use is only permitted with swimwear (the “Palais Thermal” is textile-free )
- Children of all ages are welcome (the “Palais Thermal” is only accessible for 12 years)
Although there is no special children’s area or shallow water pool, children can use the existing water training and play equipment. This allows even the smallest guest to experience
the extremely healthy power of the thermal water. Due to the composition and long-lasting effect of the thermal baths, we recommend that all visitors, both big and small, take a break after 20 minutes of bathing.
Just a 2-minute walk from our wellness hotel is the Vital Therme Bad Wildbad, the alternative/supplement to the “Palais Thermal” connected to us. The special features are a large indoor swimming pool and a large outdoor pool – both with thermal water.
Entry to this thermal spa is also always included in all our room prices.

Natural fango baths have a tradition in Bad Wildbad in the Black Forest.
Natural fango ( Italian fango , plural fanghi : mud, silt) is an odorless mineral mud made from volcanic earth.
For therapeutic use, it is heated to 60 to 70 degrees in a special oven and cooled before use. This heat application achieves a relaxing effect and improves metabolism.
The increased temperature causes the pores to open and the ingredients of the natural mud to penetrate into the joints.
A natural remedy that has been considered a fountain of youth for decades and is used to relieve pain in many disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Natural fango is also experiencing great demand in the wellness hotels in the Black Forest due to its special effects on the skin. Natural fango baths can be prescribed by a doctor and 90% of the costs are covered by statutory health insurance.
