Do you fancy something completely different? Then combine your wellness stay in our hotel with a round of laser tag in Schömberg in the Black Forest – just 15 minutes away from us by car. But first things first…

What is laser tag anyway?

Laser tag is a modern version of the game “catch and hide” or “cops and robbers”.

The game is played in a laser tag hall. The design of this playing area naturally differs from laser tag provider to provider. What they all have in common, however, is that the laser tag arena is designed abstractly and has no connection to real places.

To take part in the laser tag game, each player is given a laser tag vest. This is easily put on like a “jacket”. The game is played with at least 2 people; depending on the provider, up to 60 people can play laser tag together in a laserdrome at the same time.

Since laser tag is an electronic game, the game goals can be adapted to the age of the players and their wishes. What exactly the goal of each game is, how easy the laser tag equipment is to use and the rules are explained to the participants in a detailed and easy-to-understand briefing before the laser tag game.

Once the players have gathered on the playing area, the game starts. As a team or individual player, the aim is to reach the specified game goal. If players from competing teams meet, they can “tag” each other. They use an infrared marker to deactivate the other player’s laser tag vest. The player tagged in this way cannot intervene in the game for 6 seconds and thus has enough time to hide within the playing area. The laser tag game then continues automatically for this player.
