“Palais Thermal” and textile-free – what does that mean?

Panoramasauna der Saunalandschaft im Palais Thermal

During the renovation work at the “Palais Thermal”, “Textile Tuesday” will be canceled. The first ” Textile Tuesday ” will then be on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

Dear guest,

From time to time we receive questions regarding the keyword “textile-free use ” in the thermal spa “Palais Thermal” which is connected to us. We would like to take this opportunity to explain this in more detail and in more detail.

The short version:
  • All saunas must be used without clothing.
  • All pools can but do not have to) be used without clothing.

This means that, for example, the beautiful, historic area – which makes the “Palais Thermal” thermal spa so unique – or the fantastic outdoor thermal water pool can be used with or without swimwear. The “Blue Pool” , which is available to you as a hotel guest every day from 8 a.m., can also be used with or without swimwear.

Conversely, all saunas must be used without swimwear. Synthetic swimwear can evaporate due to the heat in the sauna. Sweat also collects in it, which encourages the development of bacteria and fungi. Of course, it is possible to cover yourself with bath towels in the saunas.

After leaving the saunas or when using the pools without clothes, we ask you to put on a towel and/or a bathrobe.

Alternatively, as a hotel guest you can use the “ Vital Therme ” free of charge every day , which is a two-minute walk away – this thermal bath must be used with swimwear.

We very much hope that this short article has given you an insight into the topic of “textile-free bathing in the thermal baths”.
